We’ve had several customers reach out recently asking about changes to how Instagram content appears in Sprinklr—so we wanted to provide a quick update.

 

Starting October 1, 2025, Meta is making changes to its oEmbed API that will affect how Instagram media previews are displayed in Sprinklr. Specifically, some fields are being deprecated, which means certain Instagram posts—especially those where brands are tagged in media—may no longer show a preview image or video upfront.

Instead, you’ll see a placeholder image with a “Click to View” option to access the content. This only applies to expired or unavailable media—active Instagram posts will still display as expected.

✅ Do You Need to Do Anything?

No action is required on your end. Just be aware that some Instagram posts may appear as placeholders, but users can still click through to view the content.
