Remove Profile Names from Inbound Message Dimension in Reporting Dashboard?

Is it possible to get only the text of a message without the profile information for a reporting dashboard? The Inbound Message dimension description says, "The text of the Inbound Message" but when used, it also includes the profile name of the sender. My goal is to capture the inbound text but not the profile information. Is this possible?

Thanks Cortney. Let's do a little more digging!
If the Message dimension is also returning the profile name and handle, then the behavior is likely coming from the underlying reporting dataset rather than the dimension selection itself.
A couple of things to check:
• Which channel/source is the data coming from (Community, Social, Reviews, etc.)? Some datasets store the author information as part of the message payload and don't expose a text-only field in reporting.
• If your goal is to export only the message body, there may be an alternate field available in Reporting API exports or Data Export jobs, depending on the dataset.
Regarding your second question, native post/comment links are available in some reporting datasets through fields such as Permalink, Source URL, Message URL, or Native URL. Availability varies by channel and widget type, so it would help to know which reporting dataset and channel you're working with.
Can you share the widget type and data source?

Hi Courtney! Yes — you should be able to get just the message text, but not via the standard Inbound Message dimension.
Instead, you’ll want to use a Message Level Reporting widget and select the Message dimension.
- The Inbound Message dimension often includes additional context (like sender profile), which is why you’re seeing both name + text
- The Message dimension (within Message Level Reporting) is designed to return just the message body
How to do it:
- Use a Message Level Reporting widget
- Select Message as the dimension (instead of Inbound Message)
- Add a filter like Message Sent By = Fan/Customer to keep only inbound content
This should give you the clean text-only output you're looking for.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the response, Allison! Unfortunately, the Message dimension does the same thing (adds the user profile name & handle above the text of the message). :/ Is there a way to add a link to post/comment on the native site instead?

Hello everyone,I'm interested in integrating Sprinklr with Power BI to personalize my information. However, I haven't been able to find any documentation on the API itself. The only resources I came across were third-party platforms that require a fee for this integration. Has anyone successfully in

Good morning, I am wondering if it is possible to add music or audio to an Instagram post. When I upload/schedule, I use the Quick Publish widget and I don't see it there. If it is currently not possible, I think it would be a really neat tool!

Hi Everyone! I wanted to share a success story we published a few weeks back with Deutsche Telekom. They're rolling out Sprinklr Service in their contact centers across Europe — they have a couple hundred agents already onboarded and expect to have 40k+ once the project is fully implemented. I loved

Estou criando uma apresentação e não entendo como ela está classificando por Classificar por. Seria possível ordenar alfabeticamente, ou criar alguma regra para esta ordenação?

Hi Cortney! That's helpful information -- and honestly points to this being a limitation of the underlying dataset rather than the widget configuration.
As for native links, the answer is maybe, depending on the channel and reporting dataset. Some datasets expose fields such as Permalink, Message URL, Source URL, or Native URL that can be added to exports, while others don't make those fields available in reporting. Unfortunately, availability varies quite a bit by source.
Could you share:
With that information, we can determine whether a native URL field is available and, if not, whether there's an alternate export method that includes the link back to the original post/comment.
Curious to hear what source you're pulling from! 😊
