Question about delayed execution of Case Update rule/node for 1–2 seconds after end-chat condition

Hi everyone, I am trying to design an auto-close flow for live chat cases in Sprinklr and wanted to check whether there is any documented or recommended way to delay execution of a rule node or Case Update rule by about 1–2 seconds.

My use case is:

  • An end-chat condition is met (the client presses on the "End Chat" Button on livechat or wtsp while conversating with a bot)
  • Only after that, I want the case to be auto-closed
  • I need this close action to happen only once
  • I also need to prevent the rule from continuing to evaluate or re-trigger after the case is already closed

What I am trying to achieve is essentially:

  1. End-chat condition is met
  2. Wait 1–2 seconds
  3. Execute auto-close
  4. Do not run again once the case is closed

Questions:

  • Is there any native way to delay a rule node or Case Update rule by a few seconds inside the rule itself without using schedule actions or scheduler engine?
  • What is the recommended pattern to prevent repeated execution after closure? For example, should this be handled with case status checks plus a custom flag such as “Processed Once” or “End Chat Pending”?

Current concern:
If I close the case too quickly, it seems like some queue rule processing may not complete on the last message. So I am looking for the cleanest way to introduce a very short delay before auto-close without causing the rule to keep firing after the case reaches Closed or Auto-Closed.

Any guidance, examples, or recommended design patterns would be appreciated.

Good morning, I am wondering if it is possible to add music or audio to an Instagram post. When I upload/schedule, I use the Quick Publish widget and I don't see it there. If it is currently not possible, I think it would be a really neat tool!
