Hello all,

Hope you are well.

I'm currently setting up approval paths and currently have it that there are two groups that need to sign off a post before it can be scheduled.

I've been able to set it up but have ran into the issue that there is some overlap with some users being in both groups and they've been able to sign off for both.

Is there a way to prevent this, I would like to have the overlap in place still if possible as it helps speed the process of approvals up.

Best regards

JK

Hi @jakubklitenik  Sprinklr does not natively send alerts specifically when both approval stages are completed, but you should be able to do this through:

    • Automation Rules: Set up a rule that triggers when a post status changes to “Approved” (which only happens after all stages are completed). This rule can:

      • Send an email notification to specific users or groups.

      • Trigger a task or Slack message (if integrated).

    • Reporting Dashboards: Create a widget that filters for posts with “Approved” status and share it with stakeholders.

    • Smart Alerts: If enabled in your environment, Smart Alerts can notify users based on specific content or workflow triggers.

    Suggested Workflow:

    • Set up a two-stage approval path with distinct user groups.

    • Create an automation rule:

      • Trigger: When post status = “Approved”

      • Action: Notify selected users via email or in-platform notification

    • Optionally, log the approval activity in a custom report for audit purposes.

If this doesn't work, LMK I can ask @Arunabh Saikia to provide more details.

Hi all, building on this, as it's not possible to prevent this via rules, is there a way to alert certain users when someone has approved a post on both stages?

Hi @jakubklitenik  I ran this by @Arunabh Saikia, one of our product experts and he explained that this, unfortunately is beyond the limits of the Rules engine.

Thank you for looking further into it Allison. I did a deep dive into the rule engine but with so many conditions and actions available it was a slow slog. Do you or @Arunabh Saikia know if there is a backend flag that could be use to enact this? Similar to the Authors can't approve their own post DP; "DISABLE_AUTHOR_TO_APPROVE_REJECT_OUTBOUND", such as "DISABLE_APPROVER_APPROVING_TWICE_OUTBOUND". If not would it be possible to create something along those lines, I believe it would be a boon to the Sprinklr community and very useful for smaller groups.

@jakubklitenik it's been awhile since I personally set up a rules engine, so I'll see if I can get some additional support for you!

In the meantime, here's some additional detail on the Rules Engine the only thing I can think of is setting up a couple of rules, like

        1. Prevent users who signed off on AS1 from signing off on AS2
        2. Ensure only users who did not sign off on AS1 can sign off on AS2

Hi @jakubklitenik!    To prevent a user from signing off on both stages of an approval path in Sprinklr, you need to create a tiered approval workflow with distinct approval steps and assign different users to each step. This ensures that one user cannot sign off on multiple stages of the same approval process.

Example:  If you want two users to approve a post, you could create a tiered approval with two steps. In the first step, assign User A as the approver. In the second step, assign User B as the approver. This way, User A can only approve the post at the first stage, and User B can only approve it at the second stage.  Steps below:
        1. Create a Tiered Approval:
        2. As described in the Sprinklr Help Center, define the steps in your approval workflow
        3. Define Approval Steps: Each stage of the approval path should be clearly defined as a separate step in the tiered approval.
        4. Assign Different Approvers: Assign different users or user groups to each approval step to ensure that one user does not have the authority to sign off on multiple stages.
        5. Set Entry Criteria:  Define any specific criteria that must be met before a post or message is routed to a particular stage of the approval process.

        Hope this helps!

          Hi @Alley

Thank you so much for your reply.

As I mentioned in my original post, I've already been able to set up a Tiered Approval.

Step 4 is where my needs divate from everything that is in the Sprinklr Help Center.

I'm now looking at how I can make it that a user can only approve one step while still being allowed to be in the groups for both steps.

This means that there is a greater pool of people to pull on for both steps and therefore speed up the process of approval.

          Example:

          User A, B, C and D are in Approval Step 1 (AS1)

          User B, C and D are in Approval Step 2 (AS2)

          So as a standard

Creator 1 has put a post up for approval

          • User A has signed off on AS1
          • The only people that can sign off AS2 will be Users B, C and D

I would also like to be able to do the following

Creator A has put another post up for approval

          • User C has signed off AS1
          • The only people that can sign off AS2 will be Users B and D (notice that User A is not there as they are not part of AS2 group and that C is not there due to Signing off AS1)

I refuse to believe it's not possible to assign a temporary flag to a user during the approval process that would then prevent them from approving a post a second time.

It might be possible to do in the rule engine, but while my example above has 4 people my actual team is around 25, so doing a branches for all 25 of them is just messy, time consuming and not future proof as I'll need to do it again every time we get a new user.

There are also so many variables in the rule engine that's it's hard to tell what I would need to use without having a proper list to go through (unless there is one in the Sprinklr Help Center that I've missed).

Hello everyone,I'm interested in integrating Sprinklr with Power BI to personalize my information. However, I haven't been able to find any documentation on the API itself. The only resources I came across were third-party platforms that require a fee for this integration. Has anyone successfully in

Good morning, I am wondering if it is possible to add music or audio to an Instagram post. When I upload/schedule, I use the Quick Publish widget and I don't see it there. If it is currently not possible, I think it would be a really neat tool!

Estou criando uma apresentação e não entendo como ela está classificando por Classificar por. Seria possível ordenar alfabeticamente, ou criar alguma regra para esta ordenação?

How can I adjust the widget dimensions in order to have a single one in one ppt slide? If I download my report dashboard as it is today, it looks weird. Collapsed columns, overlapping rows and I see only 5 lines out of 14 in total. Suggestions?
